地球上には多種多様な生物が生活しています。多様性がどのようにして生じ、そして維持されているのかを知ることが、私の研究目的です。それぞれの生物の分子基盤から多様化の過程を構築するというボトムアップアプローチと、集団にみられる特徴的な構造をもとに、その成立過程を再現するというトップダウンアプローチを組み合わせることで、この疑問に迫るべく研究を進めています。
